Sessions on Gender & Intersectionality
Each semester, one or two sessions are offered on gender in an intersectional framework, followed by a Q&A session.

The 30-minute session will be followed by a 30-minute discussion with the participants.

Bettina Jansen-Schulz has been involved in research and teaching on the topics of higher education didactics and gender diversity at several universities of applied sciences and universities since 1988. She has worked on a number of notable projects, including Projekt Genderkompetenz – Entwicklung der Strategie „Integratives Gendering“ an der Leuphana Universität Lüneburg, development of higher education didactics, and collaboration on the GARD project at the TH Kiel. Since 2012, she has been an external expert for the Austrian Forschungsfördergesellschaft, providing gender mainstreaming advice for selected projects across all ministries in the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein. She is also the founder and managing director of the science consultancy “TransferConsult” (https://www.transferconsult.de/).

What? This workshop deals with the significance of sex and gender in research and innovation. It starts with a self-reflection on gender, your career and your research. Later, your research can be discussed terms of “How does my research and my approach need to be (re)formulated to take (sex and) gender into account?”. We also look at the importance of gender aspects for third-party funding proposals. In 2024 the yearly GeQuInDi event is held on November 27th 5:00 to 7:00 pm. We are looking forward to a Keynote by Prof Dr Christine M. Klapeer, professor for Political Science with a special interest in Gender Studies of the Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen. Title of the Keynote is: „This is not a back lash!? Intersektionalität, Anti-Gender Politiken und die Krise(n) der Demokratie“.
Furthermore, we will announce the winner of the GO Forschung Award at this event.

2024 the GeQuInDi Annual Conference takes place on the 27th November, 5 to 7 pm. The keynote "This is not a backlash!? Intersektionalität, Anti-Gender Politiken und die Krise(n) der Demokratie" will be held by Prof. Dr. Christine M. Klapeer, Professorin für Politikwissenschaft mit Schwerpunkt Gender Studies, Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen.
Additionally, the GO Forschung Award will bestowed for the best master thesis that integrates gender and intersektionality.
